Lucky to be Born
Copyright 2018 Paul R. Marcano

She looks at the world like it's a brand new thing everyday
From the look in her eyes it's a big surprise as she wakes up and seems ok
Time keeps a record of patterns we leave along the way

And who knew that dreams were a preview of things to come?
Like waking up and saying; oh my gosh! I thought that was real.

Things come out of the woodwork when you least expect it and you wonder where it comes from?
It's the latest and the greatest yet I wonder why we think things are so so
I guess things look better when the world around you's pretty local

And who knew that dreams were a preview of things to come
Like waking up and saying oh my gosh, I thought that was so real!

instrumental

Distant news and midnight blues can make every thing seem kinda loco
Collective fear seems so sincere but just begs the bigger question

Just who is the one, who sees it all?
You or me or he or she or how do we make the call?
And who knew that dreams were a preview of things to come?
Like waking up and saying oh my gosh, I thought that was so real!

Mysteries of Mysteries
Histories of Histories
patterns in the stream
consciousness, a dream
Lucky to be aware
Lucky to be anywhere
lucky to be
to be lucky too!
So lucky to be born.
